I had one client that went through a simular issue. Their machine has built
in memory card slots on the computer and monitor. Every time the client
would log in they would loose their mapped drives. I would have to run the
batch file (which deleted the mapped drive then recreated it) each time he
relogged in. What resolved it was using Disk Management and moving those
drives to a different letter. Then his maps worked fine. You may want to try
that.
Also, Microsoft has a utility that some times kills network drives (by
accident). It's called Microsoft Find Fast. To uninstall the MS Office
version use Add/Remove programs and make sure in msconfig it is not
scheduled to be reloaded. To disable Windows built in versions use
Add/Remove Components and uncheck Indexing Service.
Although Find Fast is known to speed up searches when looking for a file, it
can cause problems with it removing network drives.
