Hi all,

Tell me, is is possible to add a network drive mapping to user's environment
and add that network mapping to the user's 'path', when the machine is
logged in?

In particular, if we use NET USE *, we don't know what drive letter will be
mapped.

I really miss Novell's "MAP INS S16", to do search mappings. Is there an
equivalent component in Windows?

Mark

Yup. I haven't tried this, but I imagine if the network is not
connected and a user has for example, "Z:\" in their PATH, then the user
may encounter a delay while the OS attempts to reconnect to the network
resource.

No drive letter is mapped. The authenticated connection is made and the
credentials are cached.

If I understand MAP INS correctly, you want this:

set path = c:\foo;%path%
