Network drive access for remote users

Hi everyone,

We currently have a VPN in place for remote users. But sometimes
these remote users are operating out of hotels and have trouble
connecting from the hotel ISP to our VPN.

So I was wondering if there was another way for remote users to access
critical network drives? I was thinking of maybe someway of accessing
them over the web?

Could anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks!

You can try WebDAV access. WebDAV native support is built-in in Win2k3
and Win XP boxes.

But VPN is more secure, then direct access to your private data.

One more alternative (from Cisco) is VPN SSL - building VPN connection
over HTTPS connection - this eliminates almost problems with access
restrictions in various public places, but you will need special Cisco
hardware.

Thanks! I will look into both of these options.
