Hi all,
I wonder if anybody can help me. I've been trying on and off for ages to
get my Sagem F@st 800 USB ADSL modem to work under Suse 9.0. I've
installed the drivers correctly, and the PPPoA stack according to Sagem's
instructions [1] and all appears to have gone smoothly.
Running if_config -a shows that both the modem (ADIModem) and ppp0 are
installed. The output shows 'ADIModem' to have an IP address of
192.168.60.30. I can ping this address without any problems.
The installation guide mentions that if I have an ethernet card (which I
do), I should change the configuration of the default gateway so as to
design the Internet network instead of my LAN network. I'm not sure how
to do this. I've been looking through the output of man routes and my
/etc/sysconfig/network/routes file now reads as follows:
default 192.168.60.30 - ADIModem
I'm still not getting any connections to work. I've also made an
ifcfg-ADIModem file but I'm not sure what options are needed. Can anybody
point me in the right direction (or a hefty nudge further, if I'm already
close!).
Many thanks in advance,
Dave
