I can't find a thing on this, maybe someone can help...
I'm getting this in the event logs of a W2003 R2 server running SQL
Server 2000. It's a dedicated SQL box:
"Event ID 7023: The Network Connections service terminated with the
following error: Invalid access to memory location."
This started after getting a ton of these events:
The application-specific permission settings do not grant Local
Activation permission for the COM Server application with CLSID
{BA126AD1-2166-11D1-B1D0-00805FC1270E}
to the user NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE SID (S-1-5-20). This
security permission can be modified using the Component Services
administrative tool.
This is the netman component. After revewing a few articles I was
instructed to add accounts like SYSTEM, NETWORK SERVICE, NETWORK and
so on under security for this component. I did that and although the
above events are no longer being reported, it's been replaced with the
above event (7029). (they may not be directly related) I can't find
anything on this event with reference to an invalid memory location.
Any ideas or references?
Thanks!
