On our network, we have about 20 wireless users who switch between wireless
and wired, depending on if their tablet/laptop is docked. Before, I simply
had them enable/disable their connection in the "Network Connections"
screen, but recently, the enable/disable option has been greyed out for
them. They have all been set up as standard (Power) users and I know they
used to have the ability to do this. I imagine the accessibility of Power
Users was changed with a recent windows update. The only 2 I've noticed
that have been applied recently are KB910437 and KB835409. Has anyone else
had this problem? Am I going to have to roll-back some updates, is there a
group-policy solution, or perhaps more recent updates that give Power Users
back the rights they had to enable/disable network connections?
Thanks,
Ryan
