I recently picked up a Dell inspiron 4000 running Windows Me and I cannot get
a network connection. I don't even know if this machine has the capability
to do so other than with a modem. I tried to get a connection from the
Networks within Control Panel as well as through IE. I even tried to
download and install my Netgear WG111T wireless USB adaptor and the computer
would not even recoginze it once plugged in. Any assistance would be
appreciated.

I don't believe that Netgear have ever released Win Me drivers for their
WGT111T dongle and without Win Me compatible drivers you're not going to
be going anywhere very fast. IF you have found the appropriate drivers
remember that these need to be installed _before_ plugging in the WG111T
for the first time.

From the Netgear WG111T specification sheet:
System Requirements
- Pentium class PC
- Available USB port
-Windows® 2000 or XP <==================
