Network connection stays on

Hello -

Probably a dumb question.

I just bought a new computer. When I turn it off, it stays connected to the
network. At least its router lights stay on. Also, a red light continues
to glow on its network card at the back of the computer.

Is this a problem? My other, older, computers on the network disconnect
when they are turned off.

Thanks

Drew

connected per se and no one can access the PC if an OS isn't running.
