Network connection refused

Please somebody help me! I have been trying to figure out this problem for
months now, with no solution. Everytime I attempt to access the itunes music
store, a note comes up that says "network connection was refused. Make sure
your network settings are correct and your network connection is active." I
have tried using the discussion board for Apple, but have been given no help.
I have tried to turn off my pop up blockers and firewall, but it still does
not connect. I cannot connect to the store even when I go directly to it via
the web. I used to be able to connect to the store when I had dial up, but
now I have wireless cable. Please help me! Thank you!

Would it log to this address http://www.microsoft.com ?
Check Windows Host file may be there is a an entry that blocks Apple.com

This is usually due to a firewall. It may be on your computer, or since you
said you now have wireless cable access, it might be a firewall on your
wireless access point. Have you tried plugging directly into the cable
router via an ethernet cable and see if that works? If it does, then it's a
firewall setting on your wireless network.
