Network connected but no internet access

Hi,
my neigbour has given me the password to use his wireless connection for my
daughters laptop. I have got a signal and connected to it but I can't get any
web sites at all. We are both not experienced and don't reallt know what to
do.
I might add that I took the laptop over to another friends house and it
worked fine, even without a password on his wireless connection.
Can anybody help

Thanks for your help, have just been informed that the password was wrong,
have the right password now and it works.
