Hi,
I use a IBM T40 laptop (centrino wireless) with a netgear Wifi router.
Somtimes I have severe issues with the wifi connexion. I lost the
network during 2 seconds and a get it again 3 seconds after then I
lost it during 15 sec ....
I use a 128 bits encryption on my wifi access point.
It seems to work well when I am the only wifi user in my bulding. But
when other networks became available I start to have problems. (the
other networks dose'nt have any encryption.
I choose IP range out of the standards range used by th other wifi
nets.

My operating system is Windows XP and I still have the problem with or
without checking th box "Use windows to manage wireless"

You can disable the Wireless Zero Configuration service on XP that will
stop the O/S from detecting other wireless networks in your area. And it
will hopefully clear a lot of your problems.

Before disabling WZC, try the intermediate step of viewing wireless
networks, removing any networks other than yours from the preferred
list, and from the advanced button uncheck the box "automatically
connect to non-preferred networks. See if this helps.
