Network component problems with Win2K Pro Server

I am trying to install Win2k Pro Server on a Dell Desktop. The
install went fine, but for some reason the networking does not show
up. During the setup I configured the TCP/IP settings, so I figured
that the box was configured for networking. If I go to the network
connections tab there are no networking connections listed, other than
"add a network connection." If I go through that it focues on dial
up, or inbound connection." I know that the NIC card works b/c out of
frustration I installed WinXP and the interface works just fine. If I
go into the System properties, Hardware tab, Hardware Wizard and look
for the NIC card I do not see it. Back in Win2k Pro Server if I run
ipconfig I get the following:

Host Name:
Primary DNS Suffix:
Note Type:
IP routing Enabled:
WINS Proxy Enabled:

I have installed Win2k Pro Server before on a Dell Poweredge 2400 and
everything (networking) worked just fine. The only difference is that
I used, configured the networking through the Dell configuration CD.

Is there something that I missed to get the networking components
installed?

Thanks, in advance.

Mark

Try:

1. Administrative Tools/Services - make sure the Plug and Play service is
started.

2. Open Device Manager: If the network is listed but designated as not
working properly, right click on it and select properties. Click the Driver
tab, select Update driver and install the latest Win2k drivers from the
manufacturer. If the adpter is not listed in Device Manager, look for
unidentified devices - one of them is probably the network adapter, and you
can update the driver in the same manner.
