Hey, I'm about to purchase a Netgear 824M wireless unit. I need first though
to equip one of my PC's with Ethernet. Can anyone recommend me a network
adaptor? should it be PCI or USB?

thanks

PCI appears to me to be more stable and faster...

3com PCI net cards are probably the best you can buy.

Belkin do an Ethernet PCI card for about £10. I bought one from 'Staples' a
couple of weeks ago and it works fine.

I would go for PCI assuming you have a PCI slot free or are going to remove
an unnecessary card.

I ran my BB router on USB for a couple of weeks, but found that Ethernet is
a much better connection.

I did the very same thing 2 weeks ago. Bought the Netgear card for about £11
(FA311) with the Router.

It needs to be PCI.......forget all about USB when you get a Router.

But are probably overkill for ADSL!

We use 3Com for multi-user servers at work - where the Ethernet
traffic can be large.

For ADSL at home a simple RealTek chipset based PCI card (10/100 one RJ45)
costing <£10 works just fine!

But bear in mind that Tiny *is* Lioncom, even though he never discloses
it.
