I am totaly new to servers and I put server2003 r2 enterprise on a box and
the install was fine except for a NIC card. It does not support many of them.
I have tried the LNE100tx model by linksys and it is not supported.
I have tried the 3com 3C905-TX it ends up installing but with a question
mark on the yellw warning in the device manager.
I also tried the Dlink dfe-530tx+ and it installs yet doesnt not work sam as
the 3com notice..

Can some one please help me out. I need to figure this out. I need to know
how to solve this or please share the brand and # of a nic card that will
work properly. I am desperate. I am also using a wire linksys router in the
house but this should not be the reason why.

Last question. When installing server 2003, you do not need to set anything
up in the dns, dhcp, etc for a nic card to be recognized through an initial
install?

thanks to all who stumble upon my pathetic thread. Help make it sticky, for
I am not th eonly one struggling to get this resolved based on my web
searches...
