network card not seen

hi all, ive installed a realtek rtl8139 network card in to
a windows 98 pc, the card shows up in sys devices but pc
does not show the adaptor command, when you type ipconfig.
ive tried reinstalling the card but still no hope. i will
be very grateful for some advice.....

Have you tried winipcfg ? Start/Run... winipcfg then renew all.
