network card disables himself

hello,

got a nice problem, the problem begins with a defect network card, i
replaced it with a new one (3Com Etherlink) butt the network card disables
himself. the first time it was 01-12-07 around 19:47 the next time it was
03-12-07 around 08:12 and today 04-12-07 around 12:01, the wierd thing is i
don`t see any errors in the logs.

what can be the problem?

I would check if there is a new driver first.
