Network Camera and WebCam Solution?

Im looking to buy a webcam and network camera, ideally a device that
does both. I'd like to connect the device to my home (wireless)
network through my wireless router (netgear). I'd use the camera as
- a 'surveillance' device (either remote web access or email video/
phot snapshots triggered from motion sense)
- a traditional webcam (for Windows Live Messenger and Skype)

Is there such a beast?

I have a linksys WVG54C and it does exactly that, although I would
purchase one with IR capability so it can see in the dark.

Hi, so this device also works with Internet Messenger services (like
Skype and Windows Messenger) so you can 'video telephone' your IM
contacts?

No. Well, I've never tried it like that but I don't think that's what
it's meant for. It will certainly do the email snapshots and motion
detection and if your router has port forwarding you can view it
anywhere on the internet as long as the browser will let you install
activex controls.
