Wireless gives "wireless network unavailable", not the "unplugged"
message. Do you have a wired NIC and/or 1394 network which might not be
disabled and is interferring? Unless disabled, these unused networks
can take priority over the wireless in some instances (like my laptop,
my wife's does not).
