Our Networks team have recently added strict ACL's to all our routers to lock
down the security. Unfortunately since then i cannot browse my domain. When
browsing through my network places i can see all the computers on the site
but none from any other sites, each site is split by 1 or more routers. We
are currently unable to find why this has stopped working, any suggestions
would be appreciated

I have, they have said they cannot find the reason why, they have monitored
the routers and said there is no legitimate traffic from my servers being
blocked. I have been trying to find which port is used to browse so i can
check the ACL myself

Garry,
The broadcasts that allow network browsing do not go across routers by
default. Routers can be set up to forward the broadcasts. It is explained
here.
http://www.cisco.com/univercd/cc/td/...pc_r/48383.htm.
Maybe the broadcasts were being forwarded but this has now been removed. Or
maybe the IP-helper destination has changed.
Really you need to set up WINS if you need network browsing across subnets.
WINS is easy to set up and requires very little maintenance. You don't even
really need one WINS server per site.

Thanks for that, i believe it could be WINS and i have a feeling they might
have blocked WINS on the routers

That would explain it. Although I would guess they are going to find it
difficult to manage ACL filtering for networks across which you are supposed
to be able to browse,
