Network Bridge Problem

I've got a small home network consisting of Wired and WiFi running via an
ADSL modem router using NAT at the modem.

In my laptop running XP Home I've got a Netgear WiFi PC card and a USB
bluetooth adapter.

I am trying to allow my Sony-Ericsson Z600 mobile phone to access my network
via a bluetooth connection (Not sure if this is possible) and I assume the
first step is to 'bridge' my laptop's WiFi and Bluetooth adapter.

When these are bridged does the 'bridge' get an IP address and do the two
adapters lose of retain their IP addresses?

No - just as a patch lead doesn't get an IP address.

Hmm, strange, then something is going wrong with XP's bridging as the
properties on my WiFi card show the IP address as blank as soon as it is
bridged.
