network and e-mail problem

Can anyone help.
I have two pc's networked through a router and connected
to the net via a cable connection. Windows Me on one pc
and '98 on the other. The problem is that the '98 pc is
recieving e-mails which are addressed to the Me user on
the other pc. I have tried sending mail from the '98 pc to
the other, but still the same result. The network used to
work fine so what has changed for the system not to work
correctly. How can I fix it?
