Looking for a supplier of an RJ45 faceplate and keystone which comes
with good, concise connection instructions included!

I have to wire in to a faceplate what is currently a bare ended cable,
and i haven't got a clue which wire goes where!

:-)

Try B&Q (bigger superstores) or Maplin

I can recommend the following faceplactes:

Item 4295 - RJ45 UTP CAT5E Single Faceplate - £3.95
http://www.videkonline.co.uk/home.as...31&chapterID=4

Keystone? Do you mean punchdown tool?

Item 4160 - Plastic disposable IDC Punch down tool - £0.60
http://www.videkonline.co.uk/home.as...26&ChapterID=4

Those faceplates are good and sturdy, made of strong plastic, and
the colour-coding is easy to follow on the reverse.

I've not used the disposable punchdown tool, instead I have the
professional (non-disposable) version of the tool:

Iteam 4161E - Professional IDC Punch down tool - £12.50
http://www.videkonline.co.uk/home.as...26&ChapterID=4

Good luck!
