Some of you may remember PCCW (
http://www.pccw.com/eng) who "won" 15
regional wireless licences to operate a wireless broadband service in 2003
and launched a service called Netvigator in the Thames Valley (Reading,
Slough, Maidenhead, Windsor, Woking and Aldershot) have announced that they
are renaming the service and the new name is "Now"
(
http://www.mynow.co.uk) - which is already the name of some of their
services in Hong Kong.
Their tariffs start at £10/month for a 256K/128K service to £18 for 1MB/256K
and as its wireless you don't need a phone line..
They are also expanding the service to cover parts of London and have been
advertising heavily on billboards in South London.
Sadly the availablty checker on their web site seems broken!
