if I'm running a pure Orinoco 802.11b card,
will Netstumbler register any access points
that are running as 802.11g -

Since I only have a WAP11, which is pure 802.11b,
I don't know if the newer 802.11g equipment
will respond to a Netstumbler poll,
or are they defaulted to only work in G mode
and will not see the 802.11b request -

Phil -

Most/all of the .g routers/etc. are setup to do BOTH b and g!
When my son used my laptop and drove around he found a few but there
is no distinction or way to know if they are g or b. The card is a b.

I've noticed a diff in the SSID's, the linksys and linksys-g, or belkin and
belkin54g
