I am having a few problems with this router since my son started using
an XBOX360 (or it's just a very odd coincidence!). Anyway the router
will work fine (wired ports) and then start losing the ISP connection
a few times in rapid succession and then start working fine again? I
thought maybe I needed a firmware update so I opted for the Router
Upgrade option and clicked on the check button. Answer comes back that
there is no upgrade available. OK so out of interest I check the
netgear site. The firmware release I currently have according to the
router is --
Firmware Version V4.1.11_1.0.1
Hardware version V3
OK according to the Netgear support page for this router, there are at
least 5 updates all starting V4.2 so am I missing something here are
am I misreading what I am seeing?
This is the WGT624 v2 router BTW
