NetGear WGR614 v2

This router hangs every 2-4 weeks.
A hard boot resolves the problem

Firmware is V2.16RC4_1.0.2 updated a few weeks ago.

Any suggestions how to resolve the problem.

I had a similar experience with my Linksys WRT310N Router that I sat on
top of my Linksys BEFCMU10 Cable Modem. The router failed within a few
hours after initial setup and was physically hot to the touch. I
finally set the Cable Modem on its side, away from the router, which I
suspended from an elevated makeshift wire stand.

My router is now warm to the touch but no longer hot to the touch.
