NETGEAR WGR614 freezes after .5h - 2 h

Hi;
I bought myself a wireless router WGR614 directly (ethernet) connecting to a
cable modem and wireless to a WGE101 Bridge. After .5 - 2 hours the unit
freezes. I cannot ping it from the computer that is connected to it
(ethernet) nor can I ping anything that hangs of the bridge. Internet is
also not accessible.

Spoke to NETGEAR support and they changed the unit for me, but I am still
having the same problem with the new unit. Has anyone experienced something
similar?

I am also on the latest firmware, downloaded the file WGR614_1126.img from
their support side. Funny after installing it, the firmware version is
different that when I bought it, but it only says Version 1.12 August 20
2003. I would have expected to see Version 1.126?

Ah, the joys of Netgear. Been there done that. Returned it !
Got Draytek Vigor instead, never missed a bit since May install.

I had same problem and after firmware upgrade router has been 'up' > 4 weeks
with no problems

According to NETGEAR it is a know problem with the Internet Provider that I
use. Instead of using the latest firmware I am now using the previous
version and it works better. Still some lock-ups but not as frequent as
before.
