Dear newsgroup,

I am trying to get the PC Card WG511T from NETGEAR to work on my laptop
with Linux 2.4.20-31.9. I have also roamed the net for info. This has all
been without success. Does anybody have *any* input to give in this
situation, or where to turn in order to learn more about it?

Regards,

I'm pretty sure that this is an atheros chipset card, which means your best
bet is to try the mad wifi drivers (a quick google search should turn up the
project home page).

I have a WG311 PCI card working using madwifi - it has an Atheros wifi
chip. Maybe your 511 does too?

http://sourceforge.net/projects/madwifi

I had to download kernel 2.4.27 to get my 311 working - something
about having crypto in the kernel or some such. Neat thing is, now it
will function both as a wifi client & a wifi access point. I
installed it in my Shuttle XPC "toaster" - my travelin' computer.
