Netgear WG511 + ME103 problem?

Folks,

Have just spent the last few days trying to get my laptop, which uses a
Netgear WG511 wireless card to talk to my Netgear ME103 access point.

Having disabled the "Broadcast" SSID option for security purposes, I found
that the WG511 does not connect to the ME103 in Infrastructure mode, whilst
my other PC which use a MA311 card, does.

I searched a number of websites, including Netgear's and could not find a
solution to the problem.

That was until I enabled "Broadcast" SSID, and it all worked fine.

Has anyone else had this problem?

Yes,
I had the same problem with a D-link DWL-700AP accesspoint en de D-link
DWL-122 usb adapter. I also needed to enable the "Broadcast" SSID option
on the 700AP before it started working.
