Netgear WG311 causes POST failure

I recently purchased two WG311's. One installed on my wifes PC, a Celeron
500mhz works fine. The other, a Pentium 133 mhz, when I install the card in
a PCI slot, causes the POST to fail (i.e., no beep or system boot). The
system requirements specify that it needs a PCI 2.2 compliant slot - are
older pentiums not compliant and would that possibly cause this to fail?
What else could I do if that were the case?

Mike
