I wish to be able to monitor internet traffic to and from this Netgear
router. I've been told that there are applications that use a protocol
called SNMP to perform this task. Unfortunately, it appears that the
Netgear doesn't support it. Is there any other way that I can do this?

Thanks

Also, with a wireless router, is there any way of extending the antenna
range? Despite the best locating of the unit, signal strength between
the laptop and PC in the house that access the router is often low, and
thus, so to is network performance.

You can purchase wireless range extenders. I've never tried one out,
and don't know how well they actually perform.
