Does anyone have an opinion on which of these 3 companies makes the best
wireless routers? I need a router to replace an old Nexland ISB/Airport
combination. I am looking for a router with firewall, 4 LAN ports and, if
possible, a parallel printer port. Preferably under $200. Any
recommendations would be appreciated.

Thanks.

In all seriousness that's like asking which is better: Ford, Chrysler or GM.
Everyone will have an opinion but really each have their plusses and
minuses.

I am in a similar situ at the moment.

Try going to:-

And reading the posts on the different brands and models.

After all my reading and posting, I am going for Netgear WGR614 - I think.

Which seems to me to be what the guy is asking for, plusses minuses,
opinions.

I don't have a problem with that, I don't have any opinions on it either
though

Not only that, but those who do have an opinion about one particular
product are unlikely to have the extensive experience of (all the)
others which is needed to provide a realistic assessment.

That's what I ended up getting. I chose it because of CNET's claim that its
range is better than most as well as other considerations. All in all, I'm
happy with it. I'd feel better if it supported WPA, but it probably will in
a future firmware update.
