Possibly a corrupted dll file - may be because of the wireless NIC drivers.
I'd suggest that you remove all items from Control Panel/Networking
(including the NIC drivers) and then reboot.
Let system autodetect the NIC and install the drivers & install the
networking components - answer yes to update the newer files with files
from the CD.
