netgear setup screen not coming up?

When I type 192.168.0.1 or 192.168.1.1, no setup screen come up as
expected. What is the problem?

Read the one page quick start doc that came with your unspecified
model Netgear router.

where you can disable the configuration assistant.

Since you don't believe in reading the docs, you'll also need the
login and password:
login: admin
passwd: password
