Hi all,

I have a Netgear DG834G ADSL router, that I have configured to send it's
log files out by email every day. All was fine until the first email
after the end of July, where I have only just noticed that the "Sent"
timestamp has suddenly gained an extra month - that is, all emails sent
this month (July) are date stamped August.

The date/time shown through the router admin screen is correct. And I
have re-booted the router (it had been up for 6 months). It's running
the latest firmare - v3.xx.xx....

I know that Netgear's do not do automatic Daylight Savings - but that
symptom is to be one hour wrong - not one month!

Just wondered if anyone else was suffering from this?

Ta - D.

Yep, Had this problem Googled it, never found an answer, sold the piece of crap
on ebay and bought a decent router.
Not much help, I know, but never liked the netgear anyway, Build quality was
toilet. Wireless kept dropping out, hub socket 3 had band connections and it was
tempremental on the DSL connection - I blamed BT and the line for ages, but when
I changed it out, the conection stayed solid. In fact, I wish I'd stayed with it
instead of switching to cable...

Hope you find it and fix it. When you do, share the solution here so google can
find it.

Yes, it's a well known but unresolved problem and has been with use for
many firmware versions now - Netgear never get around to fixing it. It's
probably just a programming logic error on the subscript being used for
an array.
