I have a Netgear WGR614v2 Wireless Router. My setup is as follows:

Cable Modem -> WGR614v2 -> Linksys HPRO200 -> Phone Jack

(I have 2 networks - wireless via the netgear wgr614v2, and a
phone-line-network via the hpro200)

Every 50 min or so, the wireless connection drops (and the phone-line
network also loses internet), and the only way to fix it is to unplug the
WGR614v2 and plug it back in. Then I'm good for another 50 min or so.

How do I fix this problem? I tried updating the firmware (v2.04), but it
still happens...

Are the computers Centrino based?

If yes, try turning off power management for the wireless in device manager.

No Centrinos.

Any other guesses? This is getting sooo annoying.

I don't know if this will help at all, but here are some more details:

My laptop (that uses the wireless connection) has a Dell TrueMobile 1300
miniPCI card. All my drivers/firmware are up to date. I've tried disabling
"let windows handle this wireless connection" (zero something-or-other?
read that in a nother post), but to no avail. I still can't figure out if
the probelm is the Router or the Card.... sometimes when I get kicked off on
the laptop, the other computers lose internet too, and sometimes they can
still use internet, just not the wireless laptop.

Does anyone know what I can do about this? I am so confused!

Ok, I think I got it working, and I have no idea which thing I did was
the reason it works, but here's all I did:
- Netgear WGR614v2 firmware updated to newest version (Version 2.05 -
Oct 9 2003)
- WEP-128 (WPA off)
- WinXP Wireless Rollup Package Installed
- Wireless Zero Configuration set to Automatic (on)
- Uninstalled ALL drivers and utilities for my TrueMobile 1300,
restarted, let windows recognize it, and install drivers from the CD
it came with. (But did NOT install the Dell utility.)

Something, or a combination of all of these, fixed my problem. Thanks
for all your help!
