metrocast cable internet w/ motrola surfboard modem
hooked to a netgear WGT624 router
---NETGEAR router hardwired to Desktop PC Running windows 2000
---Connected to wirelessly by my two laptops running windows xp
---on occasion connected to by my playstation 2 or playstation 3
Problem::
When the router is connected to the cable modem
1. I have full connectivity on both laptops
2. I can play games online with each of my playstations
3. I can play games within direct x on my Desktop
BUT
I can not access the internet with the desktop when it is
hard wired to the router.
If i hard wire one of my laptops to the router they work
fine. This is why i assume its an issue with windows 2000
***also if i bypass the router and just connect my cable modem
directly to my desktop my connection works fine. flawlessly accually
hope that clears up my problem. No connectivity for my desktop when
