Its a common thing with the DG834. The noise margin comes down over a
period of time. Someone once said it worked out an average over a period
of time. I don't know anymore about it, but it has been seen with several
units I have fitted in the past year or so.
I think someone contacted netgear about this and they said it was an average
too. So the best time to look for the correct noise margin is after the
router has been running for some time (a few days), or certainly several
hours after switch on.
