Netgear Prosafe ME103

Anyone using this 802.11b wireless AP?

I'm curious as to how you like it, how's the performance in your setup,
etc. I'm thinking of buying one of these to use with my IBM Thinkpad T30
Cisco Aironet mini-PCI wireless adapter.

I have the previous model, ME102, that works very well but the ME103 has
newer features that I would very much like to have...

I have just (tonight) purchased the Netgear MR814V2 (AP & router + 4 port
switch ) which is a .11b only. The ME103 (AP only )is upgradable to 11G
later. This is the only feature I see better. Not sure what the price is
for the 103 but the MR814V2 was $69 US. T

Yeah I remember seeing deals on the MR814 over the holidays (as low as
$29.98 USD after rebate). I was tempted because of the cost.

I already have a very good router/firewall (Netgear RO318), so I was
only interested in a wireless AP. This way I can physically turn off the
AP (connected to it's own power strip) when not in use...without
touching my router/firewall.

There are several features on the ME103 that really have my interest:
support for 802.1x (RADIUS support) and disabling broadcast of the SSID.
I don't believe the MR814 supports either.

I went ahead and ordered the ME103...
