When I first got these two items, I had them set up and running
beautifully, except for the occasional lockup by the mr814. Now the
lockups have been replaced by something worse. Namely, when I turn off
the wired pc attached to the router, I lose my internet connection on
the pocket pc using the wcf12.
I was hoping it was caused by some stupid accidental change in my
settings, but I can't solve it. I've reinstalled/reset all the drivers
and settings for both the router and cf card to no avail.
When the wired pc is on, the wireless connection works beautifully.
When it is off, the only thing I can access is the router
configuration. The connection returns a few seconds after I turn it
back on (before windows xp has finished loading)
The router is set up for dhcp, but it won't assign an ip to the pocket
pc so I have it manually set to - ip:192.168.0.3 subnet mask:
255.255.255.0 gateway: 192.168.0.1 (the router)
It worked fine when the computer was off for the first week or so, and
I can't remember if there was any significant change that coincided
with the start of this behaviour.
