Hallo colleagues,
from my desktop (XP-Home) I try to reach another Desktop (XP-Home) with my
Netgear MR814 v2. There is a distance of 8 meters with two wooden doors in
between. After trying several configuration versions i just put the 2nd Pc
aside (1.5 meters) and ooops - it worked immediately: Internet, file
sharing, printer sharing - all the features we read about everywhere.
But back to reality:
as I step in between the 2 machines - the connection breaks. In just 4 meter
distance - no connection at all - even if there is just air between router
and card !

Actually it is quite hard to believe that this is the performance limit of
the router - that's why I want to call to you out there:
IS THERE SOMETHING ESSENTIAL, THAT CAN LIMIT THE REACH OF THE ROUTER SO
DRAMATICALLY ?
I appreciate very much your ideas !

Florian
