This sounds very similar to a problem I'm having getting a Netgear
MA111 installed on a Windows 95 machine to communicate with an
existing 802.11b home network. The existing network (comprised of an
MR814 router and a MA521 wireless PC card in a Windows XP Home
notebook) works quite well, and has for a couple of weeks now.
However, the Win95 box with the new MA111 hangs very shortly after
startup, with what looks like the MA111's config program "not
responding", and soon enough all input (keyboard, mouse, etc.) is
apparently ignored by the box.
Uninstalling the MA111 (after much effort) and plugging the Win95 box
back into the MR814 directly via cable works fine. But given the need
to move some old and new machinery around, this is not a practical
solution.
So if anyone has any ideas....
