I purchased a Netgear HE102 802.11"g" access point and attached it to my
Linksys WTR54AB Router.

When I issue the netgear+last 6 digits of MAC Address or put in the
identified IP address 192.168.1.225 that Netgear insists goes with the
accesspoint.....I get NOTHING!

Last week I spent over 45 minutes speaking with the free Netgear help desk
to work this problem. I wanted to send the unit back and get a replacement.
They say they won't issue a RMA until one month passes and then I get a
refurbished unit.

What do you suggest?

Is there another IP address? i reset and reset this access point to the
factory settings so many times. I am frustrated with Netgear, their
documentation is great but their phone support stinks compared to DLink or
Linksys.

Yes, I have all 3 vendors in my little computing lab.

Isn't the HE102 and "a" access point? The documentation on the Netgear site
says the IP address should be 192.168.0.225. Is the 1 added due to the
Linksys being a DHCP server? Are they both using 255.255.255.0? I've got
the WAB102 on a Netgear router and I can connect to it using the MAC
address.
