Hi,

I'm having trouble configuring the DHCP range under Lan IP Setup of the
DM602 - has anyone run into the following problem?

No matter what I change, or even if I leave the defaults
(192.168.0.2-192.168.0.253) hitting the apply button gives me this
popup message: "ethernet ip is broadcast ip!" But I can't see which
setting is incorrect, if indeed it is.

Thanks for any help!

Nick Cotter

What's the IP address of the ethernet port? Sounds like somethings set
to 192.168.0.0 or 192.168.0.255, try changing whatever it is to
something inbetween those two addresses.

if you set the range between 192.168.0.2 and 192.168.0.254
the subnet mask will be 255.255.255.0

I would suggest that you only have a range as big as the amount o
computers that are on your network.

e.g. if you have 3 computers range will be 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.4

This is just a small security measure (good if your on wireless, o
likley to be hacked)

Hope that helps
