Netgear DG834GT & Belkin 802.11g PCMCIA problem

not really sure what information you require in order to help, but i can't
seem to get the belkin card to find the netgear.

i originally had a usb version of the belkin installed on the laptop, but
took it back as it overheated.

i've clicked on wireless settings on the netgear settings, and have allowed
"broadcast of name (ssid)". i then clicked on setup access list.
previously "Available Wireless Stations" had my laptop listed, but since
changing to a pcmcia card, it can't find it.

wpa-psk is set on the security oprions.

is it likely to be something i need to configure on the netgear?

any help would be really appreciated.

sorry all. i it appears i set zonealarm to block the belkin software.
