Mark & Abaid - just wanted to add my voice to this: I had exactly the
same problem. Updated over wired connection (with wireless card
disabled) and got the flashing power/test lights. Re-set buttons had
no effect.
Netgear support say send the kit back.
Now, comes the dodgy bit. I did this from a laptop, but it seems that
at the same time that the router died, something happened to the
wireless card on my desktop machine. XP reports it as correctly
installed and functioning, but it no longer seems to broadcast or
receive any networks.
I know nothing of how radio transmitters/receivers work, so this may
be a stupid question but, could the router have emitted an
over-powerful signal and knackered the PC card aswell?
Trevor.
