Been using it since July 16th and its a HUGE improvment.

Its the first firmware ive had where a synch loss or disconnect occurs and
the router will automatically re-connect without fuss. I also havent had
the router crash randomly requiring a long power off period to reset which
every other firmware did.

As a result, uptimes on this router are measured in weeks and i have a
permanent connection. With all other releases the record was about 2-3
days.

All in all, definately worth installing. Prior to that release i was
getting ready to bin the router.

Same here. Completely agree. I didn't know about the France site - and
I'm about to look for it. Please post a link. I got mine from an
anonymous site mentioned in adslguide and used it with some trepidation!

When I was little, my grandfather used to make me stand in a closet
for five minutes without moving. He said it was elevator practice.

Thanks. I wonder why it is just on that site? I hope it is not a
special French version. I do not speak French

It's fine. Relax! I also wonder why it's only on that site.
Netgear don't seem to reply to emails.
Has anyone had a reply from them?
All I can get is an autoresponder.

I wonder if Netgear provides versions in local languages or does
everyone have to put up with Americanize.
