I used the dos boot disk creator web site netbootdisk.com to create a
dos boot disk.

I can access windows 2000 machines, but it won't connect to xp
machines.

Both machines have tcpip running but i cannot get it to see any shares
on the xp machine, how come?

The 2000 and xp machines see each other and are able to connect to
each other's shares, so it is not a wiring problem.

Any dos experts here who might shed some light on this? thanks
