NetBIOS in windows 2003 server

I am not able to access my work-group. I am not also able
to access my network printer becos i can't locate it. What
is the alternate to NetBIOS in windows 2003 server.

How can i access my workgroup computers.

Error Message :

Workgroup is not accessible. You might not have permission
to use the network resources. Contact the administrator of
the server to find out if you have access permission.

The list of servers for this workgroup is currently not
available

Hi Deepesh,

Windows 2003 (and Windows 2000) still has netbios for name resolution.
From your description you may not have Netbios over TCPIP enabled. Checked
the WINS tab in the advanced TCPIP settings on your network card. (if you
have 2 cards, only one should be enabled for Netbios over TCPIP).

Also, you may be having problems getting information from the master
browser. Check to make sure the computer browsing service is on on this
server. It should at least be able to see itself.
