Hello, i am from Spain, excuse me my inglish

I have a NT domain with 600 clients (XPpro).

Some XP have localy printer connected and is share for the rest of clients.

One day i deleted the NETBEUI protocol from the NT (PDC) and then the
clients cannot connect to printers. the XP are not visible in the network and
is not possible access by \\server\share

¿Why the clients not are visible in the network?
¿Is NETBEUI necesary in XP?

THANKS,
ZIDAC

Netbeui isn't required unless you configured your server and pcs to
communicate via it which appears to be the case. Netbios IS required and it
should be enabled via tcp/ip advanced settings and wins settings [check the
box for enabled]. Netbios encapsulated in tcp/ip is what populates the
browse list and what shows in Network places.
